The following information is provided as an explanation of why I do not accept the opinion of third party authenticators. Unfortunately for every one knowledgeable collector there are thousands who are not. Also unfortunately, as with this plaintiff, I realize that many of these same people, rather than having an autograph which can be supported with exemplars and evidence, would rather have an autograph accompanied with a LOA which contains no exemplars or evidence and has no legal bearing whatsoever. Our opinion with supporting evidence:
Below is a breakdown of a lawsuit filed against me
The plaintiffs claim was: I sold them a non-authentic/fake autograph of Robert Fitzsimmons
The plaintiffs sole piece of evidence presented was a PSA/DNA rejection letter stating the letter formations, slants, spacing and ink are all inconsistent with the signature of Robert Fitzsimmons
At no time did the plaintiff provide any evidence from their authenticator, or any other source, to help support their claim
Evidence was submitted by myself proving the incompetence of the authenticating company along with evidence supporting the defense of my items legitimacy

Pointing out their staff is made up of people who, they themselves, sell
autographs through web sites and by other means. The argument being, this is a
major conflict of interest having a company affiliated and made up of my
competition is then going to render an opinion of my item's legitimacy.
