I want to say this to the boys who will read my story: I have
never smoked, chewed or drank in my life, and I never intend to. I
have fought nearly 100 battles in the roped arena during my career as
a prize fighter, and I am proud to say that every one of them was on
the square. I have tried to make a record in the ring so that when I
do retire people will say of me:
"He was the most honest fighter that ever graced the ring,
and if there were more like him it would be a boost to the game." |
